Jumbled story 4º ESO AB

Do you know what a jumbled story is ? It is normally a disordered story, but it can also refer to the activity we did in class yesterday. One person starts a story and then another person (or pair in this case) continues with another sentence. Then another pair continues but they can only read the previous sentence and not the whole story. This is a great way to practise the writing skill. Now I'm going to reproduce your story. I will separate each part with a slash / :

"On Christmas Day, I was having dinner with my family when .... / a strong wind started to blow.../ and we were scared. / We ran to the roof when suddenly.../ the danger was there. / We jumped to the the street. / Then, we heard a strange noise and we were scared so... / we ran far away and... / we entered in my house / and we went to the kitchen to take / a croissant  because it is delicious. Then... / we put on 1 kilo at the end of this day." /

Did you enjoy your story ? I think it was a fun practice. Now remember that for Monday, you have to write either a news item or a narrative about a natural disaster where you are a character.

Here you can find the expressions you can use in your compositions:
To begin with / at first / first of all / at the beginning
Then / later /next/ afterwards /
Suddenly,
At that moment,
When / as soon as /
Before,
Eventually,
Finally / at last / in the end,
REMEMBER TO USE SIMPLE PAST AND PAST CONTINUOUS !!

Have a nice weekend and keep writing.
