The best compositions of the month : The Shannara Chronicles

Dear students,
You will have to write a review about your favourite TV programme or film. David Torralvo was really hardworking and prepared it in advance. Here you can read - and admire - his essay about the Shanara Chronicles :

The Shannara Chronicles by David Torralvo (1º ESO A)

The Shannara Chronicles is a fascinating, exciting and enjoyable TV series that talks about the Ellcryss, a sacred tree that protects the four lands from demons and when it gets sick, its leaves start falling.

At the same time this happens, the Elven princess Amberle makes "the trial of the chosen" and gets to be the chosen one. Then, when she touches the Ellcryss as part of the ritual, she starts having visions of the future with demons killing people. This is because each leaf of the Ellcryss represents a free demon and the first demon that appears is the Dagda Mor, a druid demon.

At that time, Will, a half-elf, travels to Albolon to become a healer, because of this mother's death. In her last moments, Will's mom gave him some elven stones that can only be activated in Will's hands. While Will is travelling to Arbolon, he meets Eretreia, a rover that steals his elven stones.

Meanwhile, people in Arbolan are trying to save the Ellcriss. The last druid, Allhan, wakes up from its druid sleep that lasted for three hundred years. He goes to the palace to help the elves to save the world from the demons.

In Arbolon, due to the princess Amberle's visions, she, Will and Eretreie must go on a mission to find the Bloodfire or the place where a seed of the Ellcryss can be grown to save all the four lands and return all demons to the place.

This series is based on a book series called The Shannara Chronicles by Terry Brooks; a series of books that I am looking forward to reading.
